James Donato
Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering
James is responsible for creating the product vision and product calendar for Refresh. He drives SR2 architectural design, product development, engineering and quality assurance for the company. James brings an incredible depth of Content Management Systems, Document Management Systems and engineering knowledge and experience to this position. He is currently charged with the delivery of Refresh Software's expansion of the SR2 platform into Component Document Management.
Prior to joining Refresh Software, James served as V.P. of Product Development at Instyll, Inc. While he was there, James was responsible for pioneering Mass Collaboration Products and Technologies. Prior to Instyll, James was the Architect responsible for Content Management Applications for Fidelity.com at Fidelity Investments e-Business division. At Fidelity James introduced SR2 as Fidelity developed a significant Content Management System for Fidelity publications based on SR2 in their very complex infrastructure. .
Prior to Fidelity, James led and managed a team of software architects at Akamai Technologies. James was also the CMS expert and did innovative work in the use of Workflow Automation, XML, distributed RBDMS systems and rich markup technologies for web based CMS at the following companies:
· Content Management Applications for ZDNet and CNet Networks
· And as a consultant the development of Document Management and Electronic Fulfillment Systems for companies like Maritz, Inc., Mazda USA, and Pacific Life.
After graduating from Colgate University James launched his career at several technology start-up companies where he provided technology vision for innovative new product lines in Content and Data integration, Systems Management, and Document Management
